Winter aid has been distributed the past two days to 4,500 Tunisian families in the areas of Kebili and Gafsa, northwest and south of Tunisia.
An official from the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation said the assistance was for underprivileged and needy families hit by the severe cold wave in the region.
He said the foundation’s team had visited and distributed aid in the two governorates in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Tunisia and the Tunisian Union of Social Solidarity.
