Government employees in Dubai and Ajman to be paid early

DUBAI // Government employees in Dubai and Ajman will be paid a week earlier than usual.

The move is meant to help employees get ready for the start of the Eid Al Fitr celebrations at the end of Ramadan.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, ordered the early release of salaries in Dubai, with government employees to be paid on Sunday “in a gesture to help families prepare and secure their needs before the advent of Eid Al Fitr”, the state news agency Wam reported.

Under the directive, employees will receive their salaries on July 20.

Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid, Ruler of Ajman, ordered the early salary release for government employees on July 22 “to provide comfort and safety for the citizens and residents”, Wam reported.

Both emirates’ departments of finance have begun the necessary measures to implement the decrees.
