The first free Arabic language speech synthesiser is being developed by Brazilian Fernando Botelho for low-cost computers called VOISS for the blind with Expo 2020 Dubai funding. This is expected to make a big impact in the lives of people with visual impairments globally to enable access to affordable devices with accessible software.
