Giving to UAE charities just got easier

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai will soon electronically link charity organisations in the emirate.

Now in its second phase, the Emirates Charity Portal (ECP), will make it easier and faster for those interested in making donations.

“The ECP project, the first phase of which was launched at the information technology exhibition, Gitex, last month, aims to automate internal operations and financial transactions of charities across the emirate while linking them with each other and with the IACAD,” said Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, head of the charities department at IACAD.

“The goal is to enhance efficiency, facilitate auditing and give better access to donors through smartphone applications and other e-services,” he said.
