DUBAI // Her feet might not reach the pedals but nevertheless, kindergarten pupil Shanza Pulikkal has won a Nissan Sentra.
The five-year-old Indian girl won the car through the Nissan Grand Raffle at Dubai Shopping Festival, after her grandfather entered her name.
The family received a call from Global Village three days later to inform them that Shanza had won the car.
Shanza celebrated with her classmates and has said that she likes the car.
“I took sweets for my friends in school and shared the news with them. They were so happy,” she said.
“At the raffle ceremony, I wore my birthday dress when I went on the stage.”
Her father, Sajeer, said the family were “overjoyed” to hear the news.
“It was a fantastic surprise and all of us in the family are celebrating it,” he said.
“I will exchange the car for cash and save it for Shanza so she can invest it in her education in the future.”
The raffle offers shoppers a chance to win a Nissan car daily and a Nissan Patrol weekly.
Customers at the Dubai Shopping Festival earn a raffle coupon for every Dh20 spent at Zoom convenience store or Pronto, every Dh30 spent for a car wash at Enoc/Eppco stations or Dh100 spent for an oil change at any AutoPro service station.
The Dubai Shopping Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and runs until February 1. The event includes activities, prizes and other promotions.
