FUJAIRAH // Twenty-nine prisoners have been released by Fujairah Ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi to mark Ramadan.
The ruler ordered the release of the men who are of different nationalities and who have shown good conduct while serving their jail terms.
The initiative hopes to bring joy to the families of the inmates during the holy month and offer the prisoners an opportunity to start a new life.
Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, appreciated the gesture of Sheikh Hamad, and hoped that his clemency would be a motivation for those released to begin a new and righteous life.
