Fire breaks out in tent at Al Ain hotel

AL AIN // A fire broke out in a tent at a hotel in the city early on Sunday morning.

The blaze was extinguished by firefighters from Al Ain Civil Defence with no reported injuries.

Captain Abdullah Al Tamimi, spokesman for civil defence, told Al Ittihad, the sister newspaper of The National, that the operation room received the report of the fire at 3.52am.

Firefighters attended the scene, extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to the hotel rooms.

Capt Al Tamimi said that investigations were still underway to determine the cause of the fire and urged hotels to abide by the safety regulations.
