The family of Saif Al Kindi, who went missing in Fujairah last week, have appealed to the public for any clues that could lead them to him.
His brother, Salem Al Kindi, said the 28-year-old Emirati looked fine when he left his house in Al Hayl at 2.45am last Wednesday. The family tried to contact Saif later the same day when he didn't return home, but his phone was switched off.
On Thursday, they found his car parked on a road between the mountains, 350 metres away from his home. The doors were unlocked and the keys were left inside, along with "all of his mobile phones" and an iPad.
“He does not disappear like this. He always calls us to check on us once in a while,” said Salem, 40.
“It was still Ramadan [when he left] — he sometimes goes to the city to meet up with friends to have Suhoor with them. When he didn’t return back in the afternoon, we started to get worried."
The family, which includes seven brothers and six sisters, started to call Saif’s friends and relatives to check if they had heard anything from him or if anyone had seen him, but with no luck.

Saif joined the military after he graduated high school, and lives with his family.
“We couldn’t feel the joy of Eid without Saif. We spent the time waiting for him to come back safely,” said Salem.
“We pray and hope that he is safe and we ask anyone who has any information about him to contact the police.”
Police in Fujairah have launched an appeal for information and an investigation team has been formed to deal with the case. They urged people who know the missing man or have any information about his whereabouts to contact them on 09 205 1100 or 999.

Sheikh Zayed's poem
When it is unveiled at Abu Dhabi Art, the Standing Tall exhibition will appear as an interplay of poetry and art. The 100 scarves are 100 fragments surrounding five, figurative, female sculptures, and both sculptures and scarves are hand-embroidered by a group of refugee women artisans, who used the Palestinian cross-stitch embroidery art of tatreez. Fragments of Sheikh Zayed’s poem Your Love is Ruling My Heart, written in Arabic as a love poem to his nation, are embroidered onto both the sculptures and the scarves.
