ABU DHABI // Residents are warned to take precautions as temperatures and humidity levels continue to rise across the country.
Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf may become rough by the afternoon and evening, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology says.
Relative humidity will increase during the night and into early morning, with the chance of mist over some coastal areas, the bureau said.
The mercury may reach up to 44°C in internal parts with the maximum humidity of 85 per cent. That may reach up to 90 per cent in the coastal areas, where temperatures are expected to reach 40°C.
In the mountains, it will be relatively pleasant with a maximum of 32°C and 60 per cent humidity.
Wind will be light to moderate, freshening at times over the sea. It will rise above 35kph across country.
In the mountains and internal parts of the country, average wind speed will be 25kph, and 30kph along the coast.
