Gusting winds reaching 38 kilometres an hour will cause blowing dust over exposed areas on Monday with the chance of reduced visibility for drivers.
It will be a few degrees cooler than of late, with clear skies on the west coast encouraging temperatures to peak at 35C.
Cloud will build in eastern areas that will feel similar temperatures, but it will be hottest in central parts where it is forecast to reach 38C.
Humidity will increase overnight, with mist and fog over some coastal areas on Tuesday morning.
