Temperatures in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will reach the low-40s on Monday, while parts of the interior could reach 46°C.
In Dubai the forecast is for 41°C and 5kph winds, while Abu Dhabi should reach 42°C with winds of 13kph.
Along the coast and islands the maximum is likely to be 43°C and the mountains are expected to hit 46°C.
Humidity along the coast is forecast to reach 85 per cent while the interior could be at 65 per cent.
The National Centre of Meteorology said Monday will be fair to partly cloudy with some low clouds likely to appear over the eastern coast in the morning.
Those clouds could bring rainfall
The generally light to moderate winds will freshen at times causing blowing dust and sand.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

What is Genes in Space?
Genes in Space is an annual competition first launched by the UAE Space Agency, The National and Boeing in 2015.
It challenges school pupils to design experiments to be conducted in space and it aims to encourage future talent for the UAE’s fledgling space industry. It is the first of its kind in the UAE and, as well as encouraging talent, it also aims to raise interest and awareness among the general population about space exploration.
