DUBAI // An environmental library has been opened as part of a nationwide project to create a culture of reading and encourage the public to learn more about science and the environment.
The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment opened the centre at its headquarters in Dubai as part of the ongoing Year of Reading 2016 initiative and to support World Book Day celebrations on April 23.
The library contains books and e-books covering topics including the work being done by the ministry as well as general information for employees and the public.
The ministry will also launch a series of cultural programmes and initiatives to promote and encourage reading as well as organising future cultural workshops for its employees.
