DUBAI // A road construction project to ease congestion around Jumeirah Lakes Towers in Dubai will be finished by year's end, the Roads and Transport Authority has said.
The third phase of the parallel roads project, which cost Dh450 million, is 75 per cent complete.
"The project ranks among the biggest undertaken by the RTA and is capable of improving and streamlining the traffic flow," said Mattar Al Tayer, the chairman of the board and executive director of RTA.
Once complete the roads will improve access to Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed roads.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
