An Emirates flight from Dubai to New York made an emergency stop in Manchester on Thursday afternoon.
Flight EK201, from Dubai to John F Kennedy International Airport, was forced to divert after a passenger fell ill, the airline said.
“The sick passenger was assisted off the aircraft to receive medical attention,” a spokesman said. “The flight is refuelling and will continue to JFK as soon as possible.
“Emirates apologises for any inconvenience. The safety of our passengers and crew is of paramount importance.”
