ABU DHABI // The Eid Al Fitr holidays for all private sector employees will be over the first and second days of Shawwal, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced on Saturday.
If Eid falls on Sunday, June 25, employees will resume work on Tuesday, June 27.
If Eid falls on Monday, June 26, staff will return to work on Wednesday, June 28.
The announcement of the paid holiday came in a circular issued by Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Last week, Eid holidays for the public sector were announced. It will begin on Saturday, June 24, and work will resume on Wednesday, June 28, if Eid falls on Sunday.
If Eid falls on Monday, June 25, work will resume in the public sector on Sunday, July 2nd.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources conveyed greetings to the President Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the rulers of the Emirates.
The authority also offered greetings on the occasion to the people of the UAE and the Arab and Muslim nations around the world.
