Egypt's Morsi appoints Salafi, woman and Christian advisers

CAIRO // Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi appointed four assistants, including a Salafi, a woman and a Christian, and named a body of 17 advisers, his spokesman Yasser Ali told reporters today.

The announcements came after Morsi had pledged to name a woman and a Coptic Christian as key advisers or assistants as he sought to mitigate worries that he would reflect only the views of the Muslim Brotherhood, which nominated him for the presidency.
