DUBAI // A worker followed a British woman while exercising last fall and touched her inappropriately, a Dubai court heard this morning.
The 25-year-old suspect, MR, from Bangladesh, denied the charges when he appeared before the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.
According to court records, the victim, a 33-year-old housewife, was out for her daily exercise in the Jebil Ali area on November 2, 2010.
She said she noticed a man following her. When she arrived in a relatively remote area, she told prosecutors, MR
suddenly started walking towards her, took her hand, then grabbed her breast.
The suspect fled the scene immediately, records show.
She went to the Jebil Ali Police station and reported him. According to court records, the woman identified the suspect during investigations.
The court will reconvene on March 12 to issue its verdict.
