Two men were found stabbed to death in Sharjah, police said on Thursday.

The bodies of the two Arab men, found in Al Madam on Tuesday morning, were taken in for forensic evaluation to determine what happened.

The results, coupled with a criminal investigation, led police to believe the pair had fatally stabbed each other during an argument.

Police said the cause of the argument was not known but that it was likely due to "personal reasons". Both men worked for the same construction company.

Where the bodies were found and who called Al Madam Police Station was not disclosed.

The case has been referred to prosecutors in Sharjah.
