Two brothers and their friend will serve 10 years in jail each for raping a woman after a party at their hotel apartment.
The three Saudi men, aged between 24 and 27, met their Moroccan victim, 32, on January 20.
“We spoke for a while and I told them I was heading to another club but they invited me to their place in Al Muraqqabat and said alcohol was available,” said the woman.
After drinking together, two of the men had a row, while the other locked himself in a bedroom. The woman said she went to calm one of the men after the fight.
“I sat on the bed next to him to talk but he suddenly jumped on me, smothered me with the pillow then told me to keep quite and let him and his brothers finish it quietly,” she said.
The other two men then came into the room and restrained her while she was raped.
“When he was done, he forced me to pleasure their friend then he and the friend forced me to pleasure his brother,” said the woman.
The men then packed up their belongings and left the apartment but returned minutes later to find the woman trying to call police.
“One of them snatched the phone out of my hand then they all left,” said the victim.
A medical report confirmed DNA found on the woman’s body and clothes matched those of the three accused.
“I swear it was not by force,” said the eldest defendant to judges at Dubai Criminal Court in May.
The men denied charges of rape, sexual assault by forcing the woman to perform a sexual act and stealing her phone.
The were found guilty on Wednesday and will be deported after serving their sentences but the verdict remains subject to appeal for 14 days.
