Two of three men accused of drug dealing told a court yesterday they had been tortured by police.
FM, from Yemen, AS, from Saudi Arabia, and AA, an Emirati, are on trial in Abu Dhabi Criminal Court accused of intending to sell 20.8kg of hashish.
The Saudi and Emirati both denied the charges, saying they had signed confessions only because they were beaten by police.
The case was adjourned until October 13 for forensics doctors to investigate the torture allegations and for a psychiatrist to examine the Yemeni, who was described in a medical report as mentally ill.
