Police in Sharjah arrested three stateless men accused of impersonating police officers and kidnapping and raping a maid.
A man last week reported that three men who said they were police had entered his home and demanded he give them his wallet and his Ethiopian maid, a police spokesman said. The maid told police she had been taken to an abandoned house and raped.
Officers arrested SJ, who they said had a record for theft. They said he confessed to the crimes and named his two accomplices, who also confessed.
The case was referred to prosecutors.
