DUBAI // A student described as an aggressive psychopath and sadistic paedophile sexually assaulted his niece three times when she was nine years old, a court was told today.
The police were alerted when M?Y, 23, an Emirati, tried to repeat the attack in May this year. The girl, now 13, rejected his advances and told her mother, the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance heard.
The incidents all took place at her maternal grandfather’s house, where the student lived.
The girl told prosecutors that when the attacks took place in 2007 she did not realise that what her uncle was doing was wrong.
A psychiatrist’s report prepared for the court said M?Y was aggressively psychopathic and suffered from sexual perversions.
He did not appear in court and will be summoned to appear at the next hearing on October 2.

A specific procedure was used, called intracytoplasmic sperm injection where a single sperm cell is inserted into the egg.
On day three of the process, 14 embryos were biopsied for gender selection.
The next day, a pre-implantation genetic report revealed four normal male embryos, three female and seven abnormal samples.
Day five of the treatment saw two male embryos transferred to the patient.
The woman recorded a positive pregnancy test two weeks later.
