A housemaid forced her employer's young son to say he "loved her" while making a lewd recording of him, a court heard.
The boy's father discovered the footage after reporting her to police for striking the child, 7, with a broomstick at the family home in Al Warqaa, Dubai, on August 28 of last year.
Officers found the explicit recording - in which the child was filmed naked - stored on the defendant's mobile phone during investigations into the physical assault.
“It was around 11.30am when I walked in and heard him screaming, so I ran inside and saw her hitting him,” said the father, 32, who holds a Comorian passport.
“I was stunned when I saw the clip in which he was forced to say to her that he loved her.
“I don’t know why she did it and why she even saved the clip on her phone.”
The defendant denied charges of physical assault and sexual abuse of a child at Dubai Criminal Court on Sunday.
The case was adjourned until November 5.
