ABU DHABI // Seven men suing the Ministry of Interior for withdrawing their UAE passports will have their case heard on April 18, a court decided today.
The men filed a lawsuit against the ministry after their passports and family books were withdrawn in December. A statement issued by the Attorney General on the state news agency, WAM, at the time said the men were naturalised citizens who were considered a security threat.
The ministry's lawyer, Sarah Al Shamsi, told the Federal Court of First Instance yesterday the ministry needed more time to prepare its case.
None of the men were present in court.
