ABU DHABI // A botched liposuction operation left a woman with dangling skin, love handles and cuts and bruises that "repulsed and disgusted" her husband, a court heard today.
The woman, who says the surgery left her with marital and psychological problems, is suing the beauty centre that carried out the operation for damages.
She told the Civil Court that she had tests at the centre to check whether liposuction would be appropriate in her case, but that the person who approved her surgery was not medically certified and was working merely as an administrator.
She said that in addition to the emotional and psychological trauma she had been through she had paid large amounts of money to try to fix the problems caused by the surgery.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
