A British teacher in Dubai is recovering at Rashid Hospital after being seriously injured in a horse riding accident. Rebecca Chisholm, 24, was out riding with her mother, Wendy, when she was thrown from her horse and suffered serious head injuries in the fall, according to her family who are raising money to cover her medical bills. Ms Chisholm was airlifted to Rashid Hospital where medics are providing round the clock care on the facility’s intensive care ward. Family and friends of Ms Chisholm have been raising money in the UK to fund her treatment in Dubai, where she is reported to have been teaching. It is not known which school she was teaching at, or if her mandatory health insurance as a Dubai resident would have covered her for horse riding. The Dubai Health Authority declined to comment on the case due to patient confidentiality.
