A boy, 4, drowned while swimming in a pool at a private school in Sharjah.
The Emirati pupil was found dead after allegedly sneaking in for an unattended swim.
Police were called to the school and the boy was taken to Al Qasimi Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
All pupils were sent home early but police held back the staff for questioning.
Investigations into the incident are under way.
