Abu Dhabi police has introduced social media accounts in Tagalog to speak directly to the emirate's large Filipino community. The move is to improve awareness of the country's laws, activities and the services that are available. It is one initiative to improve communication with the UAE's many communities. Maj Ahmed Al Kaabi, director of the corporate reputation centre at Abu Dhabi police, said: "AD Police disperses information in Arabic, English, French and Urdu, while other languages would also be introduced in the near future." Ambassador for the Philippines, Constancio R Vingno, said the measure will help provide clarity to local laws. “Filipinos are generally law-abiding people, hence this latest move will certainly bridge any communication gap in the implementation of laws in Abu Dhabi. It shows Abu Dhabi’s intention to be inclusive and multicultural.”
