A 27-year-old man has beeen airlifted from the desert in Al Ain after his motorbike became stuck in the sand.
Abu Dhabi Police dispatched a helicopter to scene as soon as they were alerted. “The Arab national was injured after his motorbike overturned and became stuck in the sand,” according to Abu Dhabi Police. Its Air Wing was able to quickly locate the injured motorcyclist.
The man’s injuries were described to be moderate, and he received medical attention at the scene. He was later flown to Tawam Hospital.
“This operation comes within the framework of Abu Dhabi Police's interest in following up with humanitarian missions and our fast response to similar incidents,” said Brig Gen Hassan Al Beloushi, head of the Abu Dhabi Air Wing.
