SHARJAH // Almost three dozen people have been arrested on suspicion of gambling.
After police received a tip-off, the 33 alleged gamblers were caught operating gambling rings in different locations across the emirate.
All were in breach of residency laws, with some having absconded from their employers, police said.
During an investigation, all 33 admitted to organising the gambling rings and have since been referred to public prosecution.
