President Sheikh Mohamed visited Egypt on Saturday for talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Sheikh Mohamed was greeted by President El Sisi at Cairo International Airport.
The Egyptian leader welcomed Sheikh Mohamed and the UAE delegation accompanying him.
The two leaders exchanged greetings for Ramadan and engaged in discussions reflecting the deep and long-standing relations between the two countries and their people, state news agency Wam reported.
Later they explored opportunities for further collaboration within the strategic partnership that unites the two countries in the economic, development and political fields, Wam said.
During their meeting, they reviewed regional and international issues of mutual interest, including the latest developments in the Middle East.
Wam reported that foremost among these are the efforts to address the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and alleviate the suffering of its people, by ensuring the urgent, safe, and unimpeded delivery of aid, and through intensified efforts to achieve a lasting ceasefire.
President El Sisi hosted an iftar in honour of Sheikh Mohamed and the UAE delegation, which included UAE Government ministers and other senior officials, before bidding farewell to Sheikh Mohamed at the airport.

Farage on Muslim Brotherhood
Nigel Farage told Reform's annual conference that the party will proscribe the Muslim Brotherhood if he becomes Prime Minister.
"We will stop dangerous organisations with links to terrorism operating in our country," he said. "Quite why we've been so gutless about this – both Labour and Conservative – I don't know.
“All across the Middle East, countries have banned and proscribed the Muslim Brotherhood as a dangerous organisation. We will do the very same.”
It is 10 years since a ground-breaking report into the Muslim Brotherhood by Sir John Jenkins.
Among the former diplomat's findings was an assessment that “the use of extreme violence in the pursuit of the perfect Islamic society” has “never been institutionally disowned” by the movement.
The prime minister at the time, David Cameron, who commissioned the report, said membership or association with the Muslim Brotherhood was a "possible indicator of extremism" but it would not be banned.
