A survey has been launched which aims to find out how happy citizens and residents are in the UAE.
The National Wellbeing Questionnaire 2022 includes dozens of questions to probe how satisfied people are with their lives.
Open to anyone aged 15 and over, the survey is split into four sections, asking for information on demographics, citizenship, community and country.
It takes about 40 minutes to complete.
The questions are wide-ranging, and ask for people’s opinions on everything from how they rate their mental and physical health, to how satisfied they are with their life as a whole, and even the range and cost of government services.
Respondents are asked to select answers which reveal how optimistic they feel about life, their health, relationships and whether they manage their finances well.
It drills down to ask how much time people spend with their children and spouses each day, and whether they work in a place with policies aimed at improving work-life balance.
The questionnaire is anonymous and all information is confidential.
Authorities have said they want people to answer as truthfully as possible.
“Please answer the questions based on what you really feel and do,” says a message at the beginning of the survey.
“Your candid and accurate answers will help create a better life for you, your family, and the wider community.”
