It will be a partly cloudy but warm start to Saturday in the UAE, with temperatures reaching 36C along the coast.
Light rain could fall over the mountains in eastern areas on Sunday as temperatures begin to climb into the 40s.
The cooler spell of weather will come to an end as daytime weekend temperatures climb from the mid-30s to reach 43C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on Monday.
Cloud cover will remain in place for parts of the country, but there will be plenty of sunshine as skies clear along coastal areas in the afternoon.
Overnight, temperatures will peak at 25C on the west coast, but it will feel slightly cooler in eastern areas.
Light winds on Monday will pick-up speed to increase the chances of dust and reduced visibility in exposed areas.
Similar weather conditions are expected on Tuesday, although strengthening winds from the west could reach 25 kilometres per hour at times.

His life in brief: Born in a village near Galilee, he lived in exile for most of his life and started writing poetry after high school. He was arrested several times by Israel for what were deemed to be inciteful poems. Most of his work focused on the love and yearning for his homeland, and he was regarded the Palestinian poet of resistance. Over the course of his life, he published more than 30 poetry collections and books of prose, with his work translated into more than 20 languages. Many of his poems were set to music by Arab composers, most significantly Marcel Khalife. Darwish died on August 9, 2008 after undergoing heart surgery in the United States. He was later buried in Ramallah where a shrine was erected in his honour.
