A three-year-old child has died after falling into a 72-metre well in Al Ain.
The incident happened in Al Dhaher area of the city on Friday evening, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority said.
Emergency workers "dealt with the accident of a 3-year-old child falling into a well 72 metres deep ... in Al Dhaher area in Al Ain, which led to his death," the authority said on social media.
It called on the public to ensure wells are blocked or covered to prevent such incidents from happening.
The authority also urged people not to publish photos or information about the incident.
In Fujairah last month, a six-year-old Emirati girl was rescued from a well by a team from the Ministry of Interior.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
