Eighteen leading companies have pledged to accelerate the achievement of gender equality and empower women in the workplace. Mona Al Marri, vice president of the UAE Gender Balance Council, gives a speech at the launch of the initiative.
The initiative aims to boost the proportion of women in managerial positions in the UAE private sector, from around 16 per cent at present, within three years.
