Dubai Civil Defence extinguished a fire that broke out at a tower on Sheikh Zayed Road on Tuesday night.
Emergency services were called to deal with the fire at Al Ghadeer Tower in the Trade Centre area of Dubai. Residents reported seeing flames about 9.30pm.
Dubai Civil Defence said the fire in the residential apartment was put out in 20 minutes.
"Residents were evacuated as a precautionary measure and no casualties have been reported," it said.

It was the third major incident reported in the Emirates on Tuesday. Earlier, firefighters from Dubai Civil Defence dealt with a large fire at two Dubai warehouses.
The buildings, near Salah Al Din metro station in Deira, contained electronic materials, which contributed to the heavy black smoke that swept across the area.
In Sharjah, a lorry carrying a shipment of apples caught fire near Al Qasba bridge.
The fire spread to vehicles that were parked near by, causing serious damage.
