A fire broke out at a tyre factory in the Umm Al Thoub industrial area of Umm Al Quwain on Tuesday.
Col Dr Salem Hamad bin Hamdah, Director of UAQ Civil Defence said the fire was brought under control and no-one was injured.
“Our operations room received a report of the fire at 1.48 pm that afternoon. The teams succeeded in carrying out evacuation operations, and managed to put out the fire without recording any human casualties,” Col Salem said.
Umm Al Quwain authorities released a video of firefighters bringing the blaze under control.
The tyre factory is 10 kilometres from Umm Al Quwain airport, near the coast of the emirate.
Crews from UAQ, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Sharjah fire departments worked for more than six hours to control the fire.
Last month, crews battled a fire on board a ship docked at the emirate's main harbour. It appeared to be a large fishing vessel or small goods freighter.
