Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, have performed Eid Al Adha prayers at the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Mosque.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, and a number of sheikhs and a group of worshippers, including citizens and residents, also performed prayers.
In his sermon, Dr Omar Al Khatib addressed the topic of honouring parents, obeying those in authority and maintaining Covid-19 precautionary measures.
Dr Khatib called for the ties of kinship, kindness to neighbours and good deeds in these blessed days.
Eid prayers were held in mosques across the UAE for the second time since the pandemic began.
Similar to May, space was given between prayer mats in order to prevent people standing shoulder to shoulder.
Mosques opened 15 minutes prior to the start of prayers, and were limited to 15 minutes, including the sermon.
Yesterday, UAE leaders shared greetings on social media, wishing citizens, residents and the rest of the Muslim world a happy and blessed Eid Al Adha.

- Oculus VR: Palmer Luckey founded Oculus VR in June 2012, when he was 19. In August that year, Oculus launched its Kickstarter campaign and raised more than $1 million in three days. Facebook bought Oculus for $2 billion two years later.
