President Sheikh Khalifa, has sent a message of congratulations to Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of Bastille Day in France.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sent similar congratulatory messages to Mr Macron, according to the state news agency WAM.
Landmarks across Abu Dhabi displayed the French tricolour to mark the occasion, including Adnoc headquarters, the Abu Dhabi Municipality Building, Khalifa University and the financial district on Al Maryah island.
Bastille Day is France’s biggest national holiday, dating to the 1789 revolution when citizens stormed the Bastille fortress, which was a symbol of the harsh rule of the French monarchy and aristocracy.

A little about CVRL
Founded in 1985 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, the Central Veterinary Research Laboratory (CVRL) is a government diagnostic centre that provides testing and research facilities to the UAE and neighbouring countries.
