Not only is Burj Al Arab one of the world’s most recognisable luxury hotels, it’s now officially the most Instagrammable too.

The self-dubbed seven-star hotel has come out on top in a recent study looking at the world’s most Instagrammed hotels, with more than 2.55 million shots captured and tagged so far in 2022.

This sail-shaped structure, which sits off the beach at Jumeirah, provides the perfect backdrop for holiday snaps, with many flocking to the area specially in search of the perfect capture.

And the hotel is equally as impressive on the inside, with gold-plated suites, a towering atrium and an aquarium restaurant.

The UAE featured heavily in the 10 most Instagrammed hotels list, put together by Inkifi, with another famous structure not far behind.

Atlantis, The Palm featured fifth on the list, with 572,449 images posted. The Palm Jumeirah landmark is one of the city’s most recognisable, thanks to its unique architecture.

And much like Burj Al Arab, there is plenty to see on the inside — its underwater zoo is one of the biggest in the UAE, featuring more than 65,000 marine creatures. There are also plenty of popular restaurants, including Hakkasan and Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen, as well as Aquaventure, one of the world’s largest water parks.
