To celebrate one of the biggest days in sport, Etihad Airways is offering free flights to 16 lucky football fans.
As England prepare to take on Italy in the Euro 2020 final, held at Wembley Stadium in the UK, Etihad is getting into the sporting spirit by offering the chance to win four return flights a year for four years.
All fans need to do is tweet #EtihadFreeFlights when they spot a travel advert at any time during the match broadcast, which will take place between 7pm and 11pm BST, tagging the person they would like to take with them on a trip.
The advert can be a commercial or an advertisement board spotted around the stadium grounds.
Winners will be able to choose any destination that Etihad Airways flies to. From the UK, winners can travel from London Heathrow Airport or Manchester Airport to visit Abu Dhabi and also connect onwards to destinations such as the Seychelles, Maldives, Phuket, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne. Any route that requires a stopover will count as two of the winner’s free flights.
Entrants must either be over 21 and a resident of the UAE or Saudi Arabia, or over 18 and a resident of the UK or Germany, and have their country of residence in their Twitter bio.
Elsewhere, British Airways is getting in on the football banter to celebrate the first time England has reached a major tournament final since 1966’s World Cup.
Following Wednesday’s semi-final win against Denmark, signs at London’s Heathrow Airport were changed to display the country’s optimistic slogan: “It’s coming home."
And on Saturday, the airline’s official Twitter account taunted the national carrier of Italy, Alitalia. “Are you ready for tomorrow @Alitalia? #ItsComingHome,” it wrote.
