KEREM SHALOM, ISRAEL - MAY 19: Aid trucks move along a road near Kerem Shalom Crossing Point on their way to the Gaza Strip on May 19, 2025 in Southern Israel, Israel. The Israeli military has said its expanding ground operations in Gaza as part of what they're calling 'Operation Gideon's Chariots,' aimed at securing the release of hostages still held in Gaza, as well as "the defeat of Hamas." Israel has been escalating its campaign in Gaza and blockade of humanitarian aid after the previous two-month long ceasefire agreement collapsed in March. Meanwhile, over the weekend the two sides reportedly began indirect talks to reach a ceasefire in Doha, the capital of Qatar. (Photo by Amir Levy / Getty Images)
