Stuart James

Stuart James is a sports sub-editor at The National and was previously the paper's production editor. Before moving to the UAE in 2018, he had more than three decades’ experience on newspapers in the UK. He worked for 23 years on national newspapers, including three and a half years as editor-in-chief of a national Sunday newspaper. He has also been a deputy sports editor on a national paper and an assistant sports editor on three other national titles. He started life as a news reporter before switching to newspaper production and has been sports editor of a busy regional daily and also a sports columnist on a national title. He is now based in the UK.
