Laura O’Callaghan is the political correspondent covering Westminster politics. Reporting from the British Parliament, she has covered the UK’s response to the war in Ukraine, the Covid-19 pandemic, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the coronation of King Charles III and foreign relations. Before joining The National in 2021, she worked as a reporter for The Daily Express and a local journalist in east London.
