The ninth edition of Fashion Forward kicked off in style at Dubai Design District on Thursday (March 23).
It’s a landmark month for the three-day showcase which is debuting 17 new talents as well as heralding the return of favourites like Michael Cinco and Furne One.
Crowds of buyers, members of the press and public headed to the venue on day one and two to view designer presentations as well as peruse the wares of accessory brands in The Showcase.
Ladies opted for neon trainers, jeans embellished with pearls and T-shirts stamped with feminist slogans in addition to ornate headpieces and superhero capes.
Abayas had puffed Elizabethan sleeves and billowing transparent trains while dresses were awash with conversational prints and animal motifs, deftly sidestepping predictable floral spring patterns.
