Novak Djokovic equalled Roger Federer's all-time record for the most weeks as ATP world No 1 on Monday at 310 weeks.
Djokovic won a record-extending ninth Australian Open title last month, ensuring that the 18-time Grand Slam champion will surpass Federer's record next week regardless.
The Serb reclaimed the top ranking from Rafael Nadal in February 2020 and finished the Covid-disrupted year as No 1 for the sixth time, tying with Pete Sampras.
Djokovic is no stranger to the summit. The 33-year-old previously spent 122 consecutive weeks as No 1 between July 2014 and November 2016. That record is currently held by Federer (237).
The only change in the top 20 on Monday saw David Goffin, who won his first title in over three years at Montpellier on Sunday, rise one spot to 14th at the expense of Milos Raonic.
ATP rankings as of March 1:
1. Novak Djokovic (SRB) 12,030 pts

Mane points for safe home colouring
- Natural and grey hair takes colour differently than chemically treated hair
- Taking hair from a dark to a light colour should involve a slow transition through warmer stages of colour
- When choosing a colour (especially a lighter tone), allow for a natural lift of warmth
- Most modern hair colours are technique-based, in that they require a confident hand and taught skills
- If you decide to be brave and go for it, seek professional advice and use a semi-permanent colour
