Nadal revives to reach ATP final



Rafael Nadal overcame a mid-match slump yesterday to beat Andy Murray 7-6 (5), 3-6, 7-6 (6) and reach the final of tennis' ATP World Tour Finals for the first time.

The top-ranked Nadal, who won this year's US Open to complete a career Grand Slam, has never won the season-ending event for the top eight players in the world.

Sri Lank and West Indies draw second Test

The second cricket Test between Sri Lanka and the West Indies ended in a draw after most of the match was washed out by rain.

Set 202 runs to win in 22 overs, the West Indies ended the final day at 12 for two in 11 over before the game was called off in fading light.

The first Test was also drawn.

"We're still in the series going into the third [and final] Test match and have everything to play for," said Darren Sammy, the West Indies captain.

Cregan roars to Dubai win

Robert Cregan, driving a Maserati GranTurismo MC, won the third round in Class C of the Cytech UAE GT Championships yesterday.

After the qualifying session held at the Dubai Autodrome, Cregan began the race from third on the grid but quickly moved into the lead and stayed there until the end of the race.

"Robert did well since the race was held on the National Course which favours the lighter cars," said Barry Hope, Cregan's team manager.
