Stuart Broad takes the lion’s share of The National Sport front page on Sunday, July 12 after playing a key role in England’s thrashing of Australia in the first Ashes Test in Cardiff.
Despite beginning the series as underdogs, England dismantled Australia to win by 169 runs and with a day to spare.
Broad took five wickets in the match, which included the removal of three of Australia’s top four batsmen in the second innings.
England batsman Joe Root was named Player of the Series after his first innings century rescued his team, while he equalled Ian Bell’s 60 to top-score in the second innings.
Serena Williams also features on the front page after she defeated Garbine Muguruza to win her sixth Wimbledon title, and complete the much-talked about ‘Serena Slam’.
