Al Sharjah were deserved victors in an incident-packed match at the Maktoum Stadium that threatened to be ruined by the man in the middle. Despite dominating for large spells in the first half, the visitors fell behind to Al Nasr through a bizarre decision from referee Mohamed Abdullah Hassan. Mousa Abudrahman was adjudged to have brought down the advancing Mohamed Omer inside the penalty area - receiving a red card for his actions - when the pacey forward was clearly halted outside. Omer dusted himself off to send the hosts into the break a goal to the good. The lead was cancelled out within two minutes of the restart, following another error from the referee. Anderson fell under a routine shoulder barge from Mohamed Khamis and, after Hassan again pointed to the spot, duly dispatched the penalty. Omer then scored his second, nodding in a Mehrzed Madanchi's cross, only for Khalifa Mohamed to equalise with 12 minutes left as Sharjah countered. Anderson was to have the last laugh, converting another penalty seven minutes from time to send Sharjah's fans away in celebration.
