Saha shines as Everton leave it late

LONDON // Louis Saha's late double left West Ham frustrated as the London side's winless run was extended to six games by Everton's astonishing late show. Jack Collison's first goal for West Ham had looked set to give Gianfranco Zola's men the points as they led going into the final 10 minutes. But with seven minutes remaining Joleon Lescott headed home a Saha centre to level-up the scores.

The French striker then took centre stage two minutes later as his low shot beat the West Ham goalkeeper Robert Green from just inside the area. With three minutes left Saha added his second as he gave Green no chance with a shot from 25-yards. It was tough on West Ham who had been the better side for much of the game. Collison, 20, who had come on as a first half substitute for the injured Matthew Upson, had struck in the 62nd minute following good work from Craig Bellamy, but Everton stayed focused to hit back to take the points.
